No-Doz Plus is a caffeine tablet that contains 100 mg of caffeine plus Vitamin B1 (10mg thiamine hydrochloride) and Vitamin B3 (nicotinic acid) in a base containing glucose.

Why should I take No-Doz when I can get caffeine from coffee and cola drinks?

Because of the variations in the amount of caffeine in different coffee beans and tea leaves, it is difficult to know how much caffeine you are actually getting. An advantage of No-Doz is that you know and can control the amount of caffeine you are using. No-Doz offers you the convenience of 100mg of caffeine in a single tablet, without consuming additional calories. In addition No-Doz is convenient, easy to carry, inexpensive and can be consumed anywhere, as no preparation is required.

When should I take No-Doz?

You can take No-Doz whenever you need to remain alert and wide awake. You can take No-Doz for studying, working, partying or getting over the "afternoon slump". Any time you need to do more, No-Doz can help give you a boost. Caffeine takes about 15 minutes to achieve 75% of its maximum effect and about 1 hour to reach its maximum effect depending on the contents of the stomach. The effect lasts for at least 3 hours and may in some cases last much longer.

How much No-Doz can I take and how often can I take it?

The recommended dosage of No-Doz is one tablet. You should only take one No-Doz tablet in a 3 hour period. Individual responses can vary depending on such factors as age, weight, and tolerance to caffeine. No more than 6 No-Doz tablets should be taken within 24 hours and no more than 5 No-Doz Plus tablets should be taken within 24 hours.

Yes. The safety of caffeine has been widely researched and caffeine tablets are registered for sale as an alertness aid by government health authorities in Australia, New Zealand, USA, the UK and other countries.

How fast does No-Doz work and how long will it last?

With different ages, sizes, and caffeine tolerance, the time that it takes for No-Doz to begin affecting you and the time No-Doz will remain in your system varies. On average, it can take 10 to 30 minutes to begin and the effect lasts for at least 3 hours and may in some cases last much longer.

Isn't caffeine addictive?

The Government health authorities in Australia do not regard caffeine to be a drug of dependence. However, if caffeine is used regularly, the body adapts and requires more to achieve the same effect. This is referred to as tolerance and when a person stops using caffeine abruptly they may experience withdrawal symptoms such as headaches, sleepiness and irritability. Therefore, it is recommended that if you want to decrease your caffeine intake you should do it gradually.

Doesn't caffeine cause anxiety?

While large doses of caffeine may increase anxiety in some people, generally small to moderate doses do not. For this reason, if you're taking No-Doz, you should also be limiting your use of caffeine-containing medications, food, or beverages.

Can I use No-Doz if I'm pregnant?

Studies have found no birth defects associated with caffeine consumption. Moderate caffeine consumption does not cause miscarriage, early delivery or low birth weight. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing, consult your doctor.

Can caffeine cause heart problems?

Caffeine may cause a slight temporary increase in blood pressure and occasionally it may cause a rapid heartbeat. A Harvard University study concluded that caffeine does not appreciably increase the risk of coronary heart disease or stroke. However, as with any drug, if you have high blood pressure or a heart condition, or are unsure about using the product, consult your doctor.

Isn't caffeine a risk factor for osteoporosis?

Research has shown that it is not. Researchers have concluded that caffeine has not been found to affect calcium absorption significantly. Several studies have failed to show a link between moderate caffeine consumption and bone loss in women who consume some calcium in their diet.

Is it true that caffeine causes dehydration?

Research has shown that caffeine does not dehydrate people and has no diuretic effect in people who are exercising.

Is caffeine a banned substance in sport?

Caffeine was previously prohibited in sports competition but it is now permitted.
